Linking Structure Part 2

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Jun.15, 2010, under Linking Strategies

Hi welcome back.

In linking structure part 2 I will be covering good navigation for both your visitors and search engine robots.

Important pages on your site should link to each other within your site. This should include pages that contain information like articles or any other information that is important to your readers.

This would not include pages such as, contact page, thank you page, these types of pages don’t need to be linked together by static text links. If a visitor wishes to read this information he will go to the link that is provided on the main page and click on it.

Set up a static text link joining your web pages together. If you connect every important page on your web site, the search engine robots will have no trouble indexing your site.

Below you will see a diagram showing you the right way to set up good linking structure.
