What Is An Affiliate? An affiliate is someone who promotes a product or service to potential customers, in exchange for a commission on the sale when one occurs.

As an example, will say that Jim is an avid golfer. Jim buys a great ebook through ClickBank about hitting longer drives, and then decides that he is going to recommend it to others. The first thing he does is sign up for a free account with ClickBank. Jim now finds the ebook about hitting longer drives in the ClickBank Marketplace and then creates a customized HopLink.
Jim will now post this HopLink in locations where he thinks people would be interested in the ebook, such as a golfing forum he’s a member of, his golf blog, his facebook profile, even in an email to some of his golfing buddies. The possibilities are endless.
When someone clicks on his HopLink to learn more about the ebook and ends up buying it, Jim makes a very nice commission on the sale. Depending on the product the commission can be as high as 75%.
Being an affiliate in most cases is completely free, and takes only minutes to sign up. The best part is that Jim can promote as many affiliate products as he desires, with no limitations.
Affiliate programs handle all of the payment processing and commission tracking, so Jim can spend his time finding and promoting great products.

When it comes to sponsoring, this means really getting down and dirty on your own “factory” floor. You need to sponsor if you want to make money. Without sponsoring, you should consider closing your network marketing business down instead. So you really need to start working on how to become a good sponsor so that you can add more people to your company and to your downline. In turn, they will help you to sell the products and services that you are trying to make money with.
