Pinurl.com is no longer up and running, there is a free service called
Pretty Link Free Edition
Pretty Link Pro paid version.
I originally wrote this post for pinurl.com, but for the last 3 days it has not been working. You can still read this post because the information still applies. Until pin url gets there act together you can also use;
This is a great free service that you can get at pinurl.com. Pinurl is a free short URL redirection service that will let you shorten long, confusing, and hard to remember URLs.
It’s also a good idea to hide your affiliate ID name or number. There are people who can steal your affiliate earnings.
Pinurl keeps track of your entire pin URLs and gives you a hit total for the day and a total hit count.

I liked pinurl too, but really clueless as to what the problem could be. I’ve got a lot of links there and think I’ve lost them forever.
The subdomain feature of pinurl is something that tinyurl misses. I guess it’s one of the casualties of the ever-changing internet… or, it could be a temporary downtime. Don’t know yet.

Hi Aj,
I new it wasn’t working for a few days in May and still down as I write. Do you know why? And is it gone for ever? I switched all my short URL’s I have from pinurl to tinyurl. I really liked the pinurl setup.
Thanks
Hans
