Domain extensions
Some of the most common domain name extensions are dot com, dot net, and dot org these refer to the ending of a top level domain. You will need to choose one for your website creation.
The domain extensions do have a particular significance and are generally chosen for this reason. A dot com extension is used for commercial sites regardless of their country of origin. The original intention for dot net was to be used for network sites such as ISPs. Dot edu is used for schools and other education related site. Sites that belong to the government of a country will use dot gov as their extension, while .org is used by organizations and not for profit companies.
Traffic to your website Webinar.
Dot com domain names can be a little more expensive than other domains like dot info domain name. Dot com, dot net, and dot org are the most commonly used domain names and are widely acknowledged throughout the world. Everyone has access to them in any country to register a domain with one of these extensions on a first come first served basis. The dot com domain name is preferred by a lot of internet users as it is the most popular. The number of domain names being registered is steadily growing, increasing the different types of extensions that are available to fill these needs.
A two character country code is used if a domain name belongs to a particular country. This is done by entering the two digit code for that country at the end of the name. For example, .us belongs to the United States, .ca belongs to Canada and .uk is for the United Kingdom.
Some alternative domain name extensions have recently been approved by ICANN. They can be used by anyone and include .biz, .pro, .aero, .coop, .name, and .museum. Two of them namely .biz and .info have become very popular. Some other domain name extensions including .travel, .mail, .xxx, .jobs, and .cat are under consideration.
You will have a choice of domain names extensions at the time of registering your desired website name. You could select any of these extensions that you wish depending on its availability. Some extensions have restrictions like .edu and .gov that cannot be used by the general public.
Two of the most popular and best places to get a domain name or dedicated server hosting is from GoDaddy or dedicated servers at 1&1.
