WordPress Plug-ins for Online Marketing

by Internet Marketing Online on Jul.30, 2010, under Various Topics

Hi welcome back.

Think of WordPress as Content Management System that you can really customize a lot. Many internet marketers don’t think about using WordPress because it has been billed as a content management system for bloggers. That myth has largely been dispelled because almost everyone knows it can be used effectively in online business. You can take the basic WordPress blog and add whatever amount of customization you desire. So of course you will just use different plugins, and widgets, to customize your blog however you envision. If you haven’t already, you’ll soon discover there’s an incredible amount you can do with WordPress. And we’ll show you, we’ll talk about some very useful plugins that online marketers find useful. More tips and tricks to design your blog inside of a great system, see Online Income Flood Bonus post.

Widget Logic is a plugin that is just a great one to have. In addition to plug-ins, WordPress makes a lot of use of plugins and Widgets. You can determine the appearance of the widgets you’ll use on your site with Widget Logic. You can choose to have links to certain pages appear only on particular pages of your choice, such as your contact page or admin pages.

Widget appearance can be fully customized. This provides a dynamic air and helps to break things up a little bit for your readers. Obviously this will help you to make your blog unique and the way you prefer it to look. If you’re an affiliate marketer, you can use the fabulous plugin – GoCodes by WordPress. You can control how your affiliate links are shown, plus GoCodes shorten those terribly long and ugly affiliate URL’s. This will help you protect your affiliate urls because they will be encoded. Online shoppers are experienced these days. They can spot an affiliate code from a mile away and often delete it from the pages they visit. GoCodes will help you get your commissions. (Online Income Flood).

Another excellent plugin lets your site subscribers get updates via text message, it’s called – oddly enough – SMS Text Message. The plug-in installs an opt in form on your site. If a user wants to receive text message updates from you they simply put their ten digit phone number into the opt-in form and then, whenever you update your site they will receive a text message from your site! This is a great way to instantly let your subscribers know that you have updated your site. Of course not very many people are going to be open to giving out their phone numbers these days so don’t be surprised if it takes you a really long time to build up your list. It’s very clear that WordPress as a CMS is extremely versatile, and the plugins only add to that. And the best part? Free. It’s totally free for you to use. No matter how much you want to customize it you will never spend a dime on the platform. You’re free to add any plugins, adjust code, or change themes whenever you want. It’s all extremely easy, and you don’t have to be a programmer or web designer, etc.

Whether you currently own a small business or anticipate launching a business, it pays to do some investigating and to stay abreast of problems that could affect your company. Within the past, understanding enterprise management and trends may have required an MBA degree or attending pricey seminars. Today the Internet offers a wealth of knowledge totally free of charge. By frequently reading blog posts or articles, you can acquire insight into a selection of issues affecting organizations like yours.

Taking a Cue From the Experts

Specialists, business owners, and consultants routinely post important info on a wide array of subjects to article directories, also referred to as article sites. For example, you are able to locate dozens of articles about client support, with topics ranging from the best way to effectively resolve client complaints to utilizing consumer service to build consumer loyalty. If you’re ready to launch a small business, you can find step-by-step guides to writing a home based business plan, how to incorporate flexibility into your strategic program, and how you can diversify your income streams.

Similarly, you are able to stay current with the specific concerns affecting your business by reading business news posts and business ethics articles. Likewise, small business posts might help you steer clear of many of the pitfalls that besiege owners of small companies, and prompt you to adopt the best practices for the industry.

Valuable Marketing and advertising Ideas

An article directory that emphasizes enterprise content articles can offer a wealth of information on subjects ranging from email advertising, pay-per-click marketing, traffic creating, Web design and development, and copy writing.

Promotional Gifts – A Great Way To Advertise

by Internet Marketing Online on Jul.26, 2010, under Various Topics

Everyone likes to receive something for nothing, and by giving away promotional gifts you are giving people just that impression. However, you are actually getting something in return for the gifts that you are giving, as you are building your brand’s reputation. Those who receive promotional gifts from you will think more favorably about your company, and in the long-term that translates into more sales. Therefore, it is a mistake to think that giving away promotional gifts is a waste of money, as they will eventually more than pay for themselves. Pens, clocks and lighters are popular promotional gifts because they are items that are useful. Generally, the more useful an item is, the better a promotional gift it is. A promotional gift should also ideally have some unique factor to it, such as the shape or color of it. Why? Because the more unique it looks, the more people will notice it, and the more they notice it, the more likely they will be to ask the owner of it about it. When asked, the owner will inevitably mention your company, as you were the one who gave it to them.

This is the same theory and process online or offline that will benefit your business.

The number of referrals you will receive through this method will vary depending on the quality of the promotional gifts that you give out and how well targeted the people are who you give them to i.e. are they likely potential customers? It is a tried and tested system though, and one which has been used successfully for decades. There is no better way to build goodwill with customers than giving them something for nothing. If you are stuck for ideas on what promotional gifts to use, then just look through the online store of a company who creates promotional gifts, and you will see lots of great examples. Remember, this does not have to be expensive, as promotional gifts do not need to be extravagant, only practical. Also, as you will be buying in bulk or sending a free e-book, you will be paying a lot less per item than they would cost if you bought them from a high-street store.

Offsite Info Backup

by Internet Marketing Online on Jul.22, 2010, under Various Topics

The concept of off site information backup isn’t new; some time ago it was only accessible to corporate institutions that had multiple locations, higher connectivity speeds and extremely high budgets. These days the price of hardware and large speed connectivity has tremendously reduced, as a result the number of firms offering backup to some remote area has significantly elevated. For purposes of conversation, we can call it jumping on the band wagon.

You may believe the elevated competition is great for the consumer, to an extent, I agree, but not at the expense of cutting corners and jeopardizing the protection of your info. We all know and agree a company’s information is very important, and to lose it or give access to your competition is in no way an acceptable. So please be careful where you store your info.

The price can be quite inexpensive, as the correct system will be entirely automated. Unlike tape backup it can also be very scalable, you can start small and grow into larger solutions as and whenever you need with zero disruption but you need to be using the proper off site backup organization initially.

In today’s info centric atmosphere even smaller businesses may have more than 1 server, just for instance a server for Microsoft Exchange/Lotus Notes, a server for Microsoft SQL/Oracle/MySQL and potentially a file and print server, or maybe a single server which carries out all tasks. Smaller companies might still use older inherited Unix dependent or Novell centered techniques or may be contemplating migrating with a lower price Linux atmosphere. Whet actually you presently use or what you may use in the long term your offsite backup solution will have to adapt. Please check, what ever backup business you use, make certain they are offering their products for that long term, your companies long term.

Re-acquiring your information from an offsite provider is quite easy, as anybody can click and drag from an ftp website. Optimizing the backup and more importantly the recovery time to make certain you compress your info or it is done at the source. The most important element of any info transfer is safety, make certain your information is encrypted prior to it being transmitted and remains encrypted while in storage, only your organization should have entry to the data.

In what surroundings is your data stored? There’s no point just moving your most crucial information to another area, without making certain it is in entirely safe. Your data should only be backed up with a class 1 data centre, using the highest protection and safety measures possible. The hardware should be clustered so there is certainly not a single point of failure inside of the data centre. For added safety and peace of mind the whole data centre and hardware within must be replicated in genuine time to a second location preferably in an additional country.

Your data should be backed up each and every night or when ever you wish with a secure remote location within your country and then replicated in real-time with a second information centre in another nation.
Finally this complete process should be as efficient as possible. It must be entirely secure, fully automated ensuring you and you staff are able to be totally focused on revenue generating functions, it should support open files enabling you to backup regardless of what your methods are and it should be capable of incremental backups, after all there is certainly no point re-transmitting a file which has not been accessed for a year.

So after reading this post I now hope it has made you consider and understand why the cheapest offsite backup alternatives are rarely the greatest.

It also lets you know as a business owner wherever your business should be, and if it is on the negative side of things, then you know where you need work. If you are doing better than indicated for your stage you are ahead of the curve and pat yourself on the back. But consider, business is fluid and can change at a moment’s notice- keep working hard to stay ahead and use these growth issues and characteristics as a forecasting tool!
