Optimize Your Articles

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Feb.22, 2010, under Linking Strategies

Make sure you optimize your articles by using titles tags, H1, H2, H3 tags, etc. just like you would optimize the pages on your website.

When you are exchanging articles the anchor text to the actual article should have your keywords and key phrases and be relevant to your niche site.

It is important that the link be the actual phrase you are trying to get ranked in the search engines.

Linking Structure Part 1

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Feb.13, 2010, under Linking Strategies

Linking Structure Part 1.

One of the most crucial aspects of SEO, for two important reasons is your web pages anchor text and structure. If your site is hard to navigate and/or confusing your web site visitors could be lost for good out of shear frustration.

The next reason is that quite a few search engines not only dedicate the linking (anchor) text a lot of weight, but with good navigation it will help their indexing robots or “spiders”. If the robots get stuck or have no path to travel, they will simply stop indexing.

I will go into this further in a future post.

How to Find Link Partners

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Jan.19, 2010, under Linking Strategies

There are a couple of ways to find link partners to exchange links with but most importantly, you want to trade links with relevant sites. By that I mean sites that are in some way related to your niche.

Finding link partners can be done in a few different ways, but first you will have to your Google search bar.

Now what you want to do is search for link partners using the following format. Type in “add url” + Your Niche, and you will be directed to the many directories that are available for you to submit your website to.

Option two is to type “submit site” + Your Niche, this will
show all the websites that will allow you to submit your website to their directory or link pages.

Last buy not least, you can try “link to us” + your niche; you will be shown more listings of people that are actively trading links in your related niche.

Make sure you leave the quotes in when you search using the above methods I mentioned above.

Don’t forget to replace Your Niche with your actual niche or one of your keywords in the equation.

Linking Strategy

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Dec.20, 2009, under Linking Strategies

One of the best ways to give relevancy to your site is by putting good relevant content articles on your site, loaded with keywords and key phrases. You can use articles to help drive traffic to your site and to help with your linking strategy.

There are a couple of ways which this can be done. A very common way is to write good keyword and key phrase rich articles about your site and submit them to article directories. You would then link the keywords and anchor text back to your site and you can link the author bio box back to your site as well. This is one of the most popular link building strategies that is used by everyone

Another way is by exchanging articles with other site owners. This method can greatly improve your linking strategies and help drive traffic to your sites. After you have written your keyword rich articles, contact other niche site owners and propose a trade. They place your article on their site and you in turn place their article on your site. You would have placed links strategically throughout the article by linking keywords and phrases that are directly related to your site. Make sure you link these back to your internal pages, not just to the home page. By doing this you will help create a deep linking campaign that can help you get to the next level of linking.

Never exchange the exact same article more than one time. Make sure you rewrite the article or better yet use a completely new article every time you exchange them. By using a rewritten article or using a new article you will avoid the duplicate content filters and penalties. When rewriting an article make sure you change at least 30% of the article content.

When you are exchanging articles it’s important that the link be the actual phrase or keyword you are trying to get in the search engines.

How To Use Paid Links

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Dec.03, 2009, under Linking Strategies

If you decide that you want to start using paid links be very careful to keep them in place. You should realize that Google does watch your websites to see if you lose back links and it can hurt your rankings.

The practice of buying text links should be something you do only after you have been working your link strategy for some time.

Make sure you get plenty of one-way links and reciprocal links to your websites before you decide to use paid links.

What you are essentially doing is buying a link on another website when you purchase text links. It is important that you do this in the same manner that you use for one-way and reciprocal links.

Make sure you choose sites that are related to your site ( topic), use keyword rich links and don’t go crazy with to many it. Slow and steady wins the race.

Focus on where you can get the biggest bang for your buck. Set up your budget accordingly, start out small and work your way up to the high priced links.

Paid links is simply another option that is available to you.
