Don’t Choose The Wrong Affiliate Program

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Mar.06, 2010, under Affiliate Marketing

Most people want to start earning money from affiliate marketing as fast as possible. When people are in a rush to get started, they have a tendency to select a bandwagon product. This is the type of product that appears to be hot.

They choose the product that is in demand without actually
considering if the product appeals to them. This is not always a very wise decision.

Instead of being a bandwagon jumper, try to choose a product or affiliate program in which you are truly interested in.

Pick a product that appeals to you. Then do some research about that product to see if it is in demand.

Promoting a product or you are passionate about and believe in, is a whole lot easier than promoting one purely because of the potential profit you may earn.

The Big Three in Internet Marketing

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Jan.24, 2010, under Affiliate Marketing

The Big Three in Internet Marketing

Now every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them.

Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.

There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online world.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding of what the product can do for those who buy them.

Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the
specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive and compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to want to read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about so they will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible, position them at the very top of your page so they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will
be mailed to those who input their personal information into your optin box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: a closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never returning again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified periods, you will remind them of the product they thought they wanted later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dump this kind of content into the junk before anyone can read them first.

Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product.
Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back.

Write articles for publication in ezines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that focus on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and
maintaining these articles, you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.

Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy
your product or get your service. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, which means you can make 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above do not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end up maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.

Focus On One Model at a Time

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Jan.14, 2010, under Hans Kristian Anderson

The best thing to do is choose just one model (affiliate marketing, selling on eBay, etc.), and focus on it completely. Even though some of these models can be mixed and matched, it’s best to put off doing that until you’ve got your core model running and producing a profit.

There are a lot of reasons for this:

• It’s easier

• It allows you to learn and master that one model completely.

• It gives you a foundation on which everything else is built

Let’s go into each point in a bit more detail, so you can see how and why the ‘one model’ approach works in the big picture.

Ease:

Each model requires their own unique amount of work, investment and marketing strategy. If you want to reach your monthly goals, you simply can’t have your efforts split.

Imagine if you were trying to do both affiliate marketing and create an e-book from the public domain at the same time.

The first concern is cost. You’d need to have an advertising budget for both projects, along with any other expenses that come up.

The second concern is time involvement. Not only would you need to create two separate websites, you’d also need to create two different sets of autoresponder content.

Of course, it’s not impossible to juggle both, but don’t you think you’d get further and faster, if you could devote all of your resources to one place?

Mastery:

When you master one model, you gain the satisfaction of knowing that you can reap profits on demand. Perfect your business model and you’ll never have to start from ground zero again.

Also, consider that gaining mastery in one model will give you an edge when you do finally branch out to other models. You only have to learn the fundamentals once, then it’s easy to pick up new tactics.

Foundation:

Having a foundation means having the resources necessary to take risks. You’ll have the resources necessary to fund new projects, and you’ll also have the security of an established income to catch you if you fall.

Lastly, the longer you remain visible in your niche, the greater your long term success.

It’s much harder to establish credibility if you’re dabbling in two or three businesses at once.

Affiliate Marketing

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Dec.11, 2009, under Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing gives the average person a fantastic opportunity to create a real, home based business. Unlike other home businesses, affiliate businesses are easy to set up and don’t require much in the way of start up capital at all.

This ease of operation means, too, that you can set up multiple affiliate businesses. You don’t have to stick to just one niche. Once you get your first business going, you can duplicate your business model into other markets to create additional revenue streams.

While affiliate marketing is not a ‘get rich quick scheme, it really can produce for you a very serious income. The harder you work at the business, the more likely you are to achieve real wealth.

I believe to attain real wealth in affiliate marketing, learning how to build a list to market to, is crucial to your success.

Best Home Based Businesses

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Nov.25, 2009, under Affiliate Marketing

If your considering what are the best home based businesses to start, an Internet business should be your choice. An Internet business is a lot easier to start and take care of than a traditional home based business, and the potential profit is a lot greater.

Consider the following, if you don’t agree with my opinion.

Internet businesses, if you do it right, don’t require very much capital to start. You can get away with a shoe-string budget in most cases. You can cut costs if you can build a website on your own and web hosting doesn’t cost that much. You can even start with a free blog form Blogger or WordPress.

Now if you have several hundred or even better a thousand or two thousand, you can sign up with one of the top marketing programs that are available. Keep in mind that there are programs that cost even more then a couple of thousand to get started.

Joining one of these programs and having a mentor is a great way to get educated in the Internet Marketing business.

Now getting back to our shoe string budget, your monthly expenses will come primarily from internet access, web hosting, advertising and inventory. That is about it.

By cutting out inventory, you can spend even less money.
Yes, you can run an Internet business with no inventory. You can earn a lot of money online with not having your own product.

If your new to Internet marketing, your probably wondering how this is possible.

It’s possible through a type of Internet marketing called “affiliate marketing,” and it involves promoting other people’s products in exchange for a commission on the sales you generate.

In essence you are going into business as an affiliate for a product which may be one of your favorites or a product that is in demand. This could be anything from health products, to educational DVDs and books. The retailer of these products controls all of the inventory, collecting the payment, shipping and customer service matters.

You simply collect your checks for referring paying customers to the retailer’s site. It is a fact of life for many affiliate business owners, even though this may sound too good to be true.

For the average person to get started, affiliate marketing is the easiest type of Internet business to get started. Affiliate marketing can pay off big time if you take it seriously.

You are never limited to the kinds of products you can promote. You’re bound to find something you can both profit from and feel passionate about, because there are affiliate programs for virtually every kind of product and service you could imagine.

If this idea grabs your interest in the slightest, I highly recommend that you investigate the idea affiliate marketing further, and find yourself a good training program to get you started on the right foot.

I guarantee you’ll like what you see, and you’ll find yourself the proud owner of a successful, home based Internet business sooner than you ever thought possible! Make sure you do your due diligence, and then take action.
