The Right Mindset For A Home Business

by on Aug.04, 2011, under Affiliate Marketing, Blogging, Building a List, eBay, Internet Marketing, Traffic Tactics

When you have a home business attitude it means that you start behaving and thinking like an entrepreneur who is successful instead of being an employee or a worker. There’s absolutely no problem with working for someone else when you like what you do, but starting a business means a different set of rules and you won’t be able to move forward unless you change your attitude. This article will look at some tips that will help you get into the home business mindset.

When you’re trying to develop the best home business mindset, one thing you have to avoid at all costs is the “get rich quick” mindset, which can undermine your efforts. There are plenty of advertisements and marketing strategies out there meant to get you to fall for one shiny program after another and if you don’t learn to control yourself, you could end up spending all your money on them. You have to develop a mindset that will allow you to ignore the temptation of the advertisements that arrive in your e-mail inbox or real mailbox. The best way to avoid this issue is to focus on achieving your goals and understanding the fact that it takes a lot of effort to build a business.
Setting goals can be very helpful when you’re operating a home based business. The types of goals you set can play a massive role in the results you get. Your goals need to be both for the short term and the long term. The long term goals give you something to aim for, a reason for doing what you’re doing every day. Your short term goals will provide you with the blueprint of what needs to be done every step of the way. Your short term goals should be established according to tasks you can complete yourself and not things that you can’t do anything about. For example, your long term goal could be to achieve a certain income level, and if you set a weekly goal you could get upset if you aren’t able to fulfill it. So make your goals task related, and the results you want will eventually come. http://www.nocreditcheckcarloans.co.uk

The word “outsourcing” was originally used to talk about large companies hiring low cost labor in foreign countries, but today it’s often used by small businesses as well. Outsourcing simply involves employing someone to do a job for you. You could hire someone who lives just around the corner or someone who is thousands of miles away in another country. You need to find proof that the company or person you are hiring is able to do the job and is known to deliver. You need to avoid spending money without making a profit, which is why everything you outsource should be profitable. The best approach is to start outsourcing slowly and eventually build up to a larger number of jobs. If you want to achieve certain results, you have to think and act in a way that’s similar to those who have already succeeded in this area. Understanding how to obtain cheap car loans UK is also worthwhile. All successful business owners have a similar mindset, and that is what you must get yourself, if you intend to become successful.

Internet Marketing Strategy

Internet Marketing Strategy

More then likely you will have to spend some time searching the different services and products that you can profitably market, unless you already have a fantastic idea to work with. To be able to achieve this Goal Setting choice, you will need to carryout some investigating into what is already available in the way of an Internet marketing strategy or campaign, and where in that great big business picture, you might be able to slide in and fill a niche someplace.

Traffic to your website Webinar.

I have provided a few tips on where to locate selective information on niche markets that might be suitable for you, also how to locate a position to establish your Internet marketing strategy.

If you are starting fresh and looking for your first idea for an effective marketing campaign, the first place to begin is with yourself.

What do you like? What types of products are important in maintaining your standard of living? What types of services of goods would make life a lot easier for you, if you had access to them? How much are you willing to pay for these goods or services?

Spending some time searching your own wants and needs may yield some interesting concepts for niches that you can investigate online, and see just how much attention is given to those sorts of products.

Another method is to simply sit down with a piece of paper and make a list of ten subjects that come to mind without going into any really deep thought process. The list will probably be somewhat random, although thinking of one subject may immediately draw your mind to a related subject.

Don’t fight the flow or spend any time second-guessing the subjects that come to mind. Write them down and don’t waste time thinking they are silly or inappropriate. There will be plenty of time to evaluate the subjects later on.

As a third source of inspiration, go out with friends, but take along a small note-book. As different subjects up in conversation and catch your ear, make a quick note. A one or two word phrase should do the trick nicely. The idea here is to get some ideas for markets to explore, based on what types of issues come to mind among people you know.

While none of these methods are particularly scientific, they can yield some interesting topics to research. Don’t reject any of the ideas out of hand, until you spend some time online and see where the subjects lead you.

Concepts that may seem completely off the wall or worth absolutely nothing may turn out to be gold mines. If research indicates that the subject is a dead end, then at least you have eliminated one possibility and saved yourself the trouble of pursuing that option at a future date. On the other hand, you may be surprised with what you find.

Using these lists of words or subjects that you have compiled, take to the Internet and start doing some digging around. The first thing you want to ascertain is how much interest there is associated with that particular word or phrase. One of the easiest ways to get a handle on this sort of thing is to use word tracking search engines online. There are several well-known ones that are very easy to use.

All you basically do is type in your word or phrase and let the program search the entire web for results. What will happen is that the system will return a list that contains not only incidences of the word or phrase that you entered, but also expanded phrases that include that same word or phrase. You also get an idea of how many sites around the Internet contain text with that word.

This can be a great way to qualify the subjects and see if there is a large amount of interest in a given subject and related topics or information. A lot of hits means that you may want to look further into that subject as a possible foundation for a marketing campaign that is related to that word or phrase.

For example, if one of the subjects that came up on your lists happened to be “dog,” and you find that the word returns close to a million hits on its own, and then you may have found a broad subject to explore. Looking down the list, you may find that “dog house” and “dog training” returned a sizable number of hits, as did “dog treats.” With just a little digging, you have uncovered three potential services or products to market.

Moving one step further, you can explore each of these marketing subjects a little deeper by clicking on the word or phrase and canvassing the actual returns. Here, you may begin to see a pattern among the hits that bubble to the surface of the search engines.

This can help you to further refine your idea of what to market. For example, if you notice there are a lot of these that have to do with making a particular product at home, you may begin to think in terms of marketing home assembly kits related to that subject. Perhaps the home assembly requires the use of certain tools.

You may be able to set up a marketing campaign to sell those tools at a competitive price. Perhaps you happen to have some expertise with building those sorts of home projects. Put your knowledge to work, create some easy to follow plans, and market them to do it yourself types.

Keep in mind that if you see a phrase with relatively few hits, that does not automatically eliminate it from the running. For example, if you notice that the return for “dog houses online” only yielded two hundred hits, take a moment and look at the actual title tags. You may find that people are looking to buy kits for doghouses online, and that becomes the focus of your new marketing campaign.

One important thing to keep in mind is that you need to try this technique on multiple word tracking programs, since the search criteria used by each system may be a little different. For example, some programs will return an average number of hits per day, while others will focus on the average hits per month. Also, the Internet is an ever growing monster. If you are not quite sure about the potential of a marketing idea, but do not feel comfortable abandoning it completely, stick it back for future reference. A year or two down the road, the results may be very different.

One thing to avoid is trying to repeat the same old tired process that is already being used by hundreds of thousands of other Internet entrepreneurs. Just as with brick and mortar businesses, competition can be fierce on the Internet. What you want is to look for a market that still has some potential to grow, so you are not constantly engaged in exchanging a limited bank of customers with a thousand other marketers.

Choosing to zero in on topics that appear to have some widespread interest on the Internet, but don’t seem to have much in the way of marketing sites that actually address those topics specifically is a very good bet when it comes to establishing yourself in a niche market.

The fact is that free resources on the Internet can often yield the same ideas, and sometimes approaches that are just as good, if not better. Of course, there are all sorts of E-books and software programs that are supposedly geared toward finding profitable niche markets. While some of them do contain a few good ideas.

Goal Setting

Chances are you will find plenty of information for free that will keep you busy for quite some time, and will likely provide you with at least a half dozen solid leads on potential niche markets to launch your marketing efforts. Before you spend any money on any type of products or internet marketing tools, check around various web sites for free ideas on finding niche markets, as well as visiting the free word tracking web sites.

Saving Time By Prioritizing Tasks Effectively

by on Mar.14, 2011, under Uncategorized

Good task management is vital for any business to run efficiently – especially one which is online, as you’re not necessarily there is person with your colleagues to discuss project management progress or go over daily briefs.

When managing significant numbers of tasks and projects, a high level of structure and organization is essential to complete them efficiently. A process or procedure should be in place for dealing with large projects, small tasks and regular tasks. This is a much more substantial subject in itself, so let’s take a look at a really easy method of prioritizing which is a necessary piece of the task management process. First you need to take all of your tasks and put them on a list. You are then going to sort these tasks into 3 smaller lists.

List A is made up of 2 types of tasks – those which are essential or time-sensitive, and those which, if completed, are going to have an immediate impact upon your business. So write down anything which you can work on right now that will have a significant impact, whether this be making money or improving your business in an necessary way, and of course, anything which has a completion date.

List B is made up of the things which have to be completed, but aren’t in any way time sensitive. An example of this would be a task like filing documents.

List C is made up of projects and tasks which you want to complete, but which don’t have any real impact on your current business, and therefore, they can be scheduled in when there is nothing else pending.

Once you have your lists laid out, you will be able to clearly prioritize these tasks in a comprehensive schedule. First, consider to yourself these 2 things:

1. What tasks on your list could you automate?

2. What tasks on your list could you hand over to an expert virtual assistant?

Put these on a separate list, and deal with them first. The more quickly you’re able to do this for your A & B tasks, the sooner you can begin to decrease the contents of these lists on a weekly or monthly basis, with the final outcome of creating quite a bit more time for yourself.

For those tasks which you haven’t automated or outsourced to experienced virtual assistants, you will need to organize these into jobs for yourself. Each job you’re going to do should be broken up into tasks, and each task should be considered as a ‘Milestone’, and each milestone would have a checklist of smaller tasks, which once all checked off, will enable the milestone to be completed.

To begin with, take each of the milestones in your A list, and then break the milestones down into checklists of jobs which need to be done in order to complete the milestone. For this process, I highly recommend that you use online project management software to organize this endeavor – especially if you work with a virtual assistance service, as most of these things could potentially be outsourced in the future. Most online collaboration software will let you develop multiple projects so you can manage comprehensive milestones and tasks.

Once you have done that for List A – do the same for list B, and if you have time, you may want to do this for list C too, but usually the C list is set to one side for when A and B are both entirely complete.

This will of course need to be scheduled into a daily plan, and this plan must be tailored according to the amount of tasks you have and the volume of time which is available to you – but as a general rule, your work should progress steadily and everything should get done.

To plan your schedule, take twenty minutes to designate your tasks before you start each day, as this will give you specific direction to move forward and help you to have a greater feeling of achievement upon the completion of your working day.

Creative Genius

by on Dec.09, 2010, under Hans Kristian Anderson

Creative Genius

People seem to have the misconception that only a select few are able to unleash a steady flow of creative genius. That is not true at all. The fact is, creativity is very much like a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to consistently give out great results. This skill will very much atrophy into in existence, if you don’t practice harnessing creative thinking. This skill will soon come to you in a snap, if you keep working.

So how do you unleash your creative thinking? Well, the first thing is to become a human leech. No, we’re not talking about just sucking the blood out of every living being available, we’re saying that you should take in as much knowledge and learning you can find. Read everything available — good and bad , and keep your mind open to the infinite possibilities of the universe. The more you know, the more you’ll want to know, and the more your faculty of wonder will be exercised. As little facts add a bit of color into your life you will be amazed.

Focus on a creative activity everyday and include goal setting. Yes, it’s an effort. Even doodling is a creative activity. Don’t let anything hinder you. Mindlessness may be a creative activity, but for people who are just starting out to unleash a little bit of creative thinking in their lives, it is encouraging and helpful to have concrete evidence, that, “hey, what I’m doing is getting somewhere.” So why don’t you try it. For a couple of minutes each day practice drawing. Bring out your old camera and start snapping photos like crazy. Make a point to write religiously in a journal. You can write by describing something with your five senses, which is another cool idea. Try to avoid vague adjectives like “marvelous,” “amazing,” and “delicious.” Before you know it, you’ll have built yourself a tiny portfolio, and The growth you’ve undertaken after amassing all those works of art will amaze you. You might actually take to liking those things you do everyday, who knows. Pretty soon those things will become a part of you and you’ll be addicted to these creative exercises.

??Sometimes, constraints are actually a good thing. So think out of the box or don’t. Limitations discipline you to work within your means. It enables you to be more resourceful. Creative freedom is great, but limitations enforce discipline.

Try something new everyday and let your experiences broaden your perspective. Explore a new district in your neighborhood. Spend an afternoon in a museum to which you’ve never been before. Open up to the people around you. Chat up someone on the bus. As you thrust yourself out of your comfort zone more and more each day, your sense of adventure grows and so does your zest for life. Think about it. When was the last time you did something for the first time? If it’s been a while, I tell you, you’ve been missing out on a whole lot of experiences that could have added to your growth, emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually. Why don’t you try bungee jumping today? Not only will you learn, but you will also have plenty of stories to share, enabling you to practice your storytelling skills and making you the life of the party.

Embrace insanity. No, not to the point of practically admitting yourself into the mental ward. As John Russell once said, “Sanity calms, but madness is more interesting.” Exactly! Every creative thought was once deemed insanity by other “normal” people at one time or another. Luckily, that didn’t stop the creative geniuses from standing by and procrastinating. The thing is, being normal or sanity confines people to think… well, normally, With link limits. Creativity is essentially breaking through barriers, just as
John Assaraf did in his amazing life. Yes, this includes the bizzarre and the downright strange. I’m not saying that you yourself should develop a creative personality. That might go haywire. An example of a creative personality would be George Washington, who often rode into battle naked, or James Joyce, who wrote “Dubliners” with beetle juice for an intense fear of ink, or Albert Einstein, who thought his cat was a spy sent by his rival (or in thinking creatively in this case, the term could probably be “archnemesis.”) It’s important that your creativity doesn’t get you detached from the real world completely.

I hope this article has inspired you to start thinking beyond your “limits.” If you follow these steps pretty soon you’ll be living a life full of interesting adventures. Unleashing your creative thinking will bring about a new zest for living life.

The Secret Was Just The Beginning For John Assaraf

by on Nov.30, 2010, under Hans Kristian Anderson

His name is John Assaraf . You may have first heard of him in the movie or book “The Secret” — He was one of the people who helped launch it into a worldwide phenomenon. He is also a multi-millionaire business owner, wealth coach and worldwide thought leader in the world of quantum physics and neuroscience and how they relate to achieving success in business and in life. John Assaraf has built 5 multi-million dollar companies over the past 20 years.

But it wasn’t always like this. John grew up in a middle class home (no family money to start him off, in other words). He never went to college. The reason? Because To pay for his schooling, he was counting on a basketball scholarship.

Becoming a professional basketball player was John’s big dream. But when he was injured in a terrible car crash that landed him in the hospital with broken ribs and a ruptured disc in his back. That ended his dream of going to college and playing the sport he loved and was gifted in.

At 19, depressed and looking for something to do that wouldn’t require him trading his life for bagging groceries, John decided to try real estate sales. With just a grade 11 education, It was really the only option he had that would potentially give him the ability to make more than just minimum wage.

Luckily for him, early on in his career he found a mentor who taught him all about sales, visualizations, goal-setting and more. Quickly becoming one of the top real estate agents in his office as John was an excellent student. He did so well that he decided it was time to become more than a sales representative and bought the franchising rights to the ReMax region in Indiana. That’s where he met his second mentor, who also taught him about business and wealth.

John grew that company to over 1,000 real estate agents and $4-billion in sales before moving on to growing multi-millions in revenue with other companies.

John continued through it all, to practice everything he learned about visualizations, positive self-talk, goal setting, meditation etc. from his mentors. Clearly he saw it work. But John didn’t know why it worked nor did he care. The only thing that mattered to him is the more he used visualizations, goal setting, affirmations and meditation the more successful he became. He didn’t know it then but he was doing these “Innercises” in a way that was different than the way everyone else does them…. Until one day, it all changed for him. When he found his “house” in a sealed box, that was when it wasn’t enough to simply know something worked. He wanted to know WHY.
