We Can’t Wait For Barack Obama

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Jun.03, 2010, under Hans Kristian Anderson

There is no doubt that Barack Obama has his work cut out for him, with the staggering economy of the United States. The rest of the world is not doing much better.

Foreclosures are at an all time high, the unemployment rate in the U.S is down right depressing. Times are rough for most people and businesses around the world, yet internet marketing is thriving. Affiliate marketing, pay per click, eBay, Google adsense, are all vehicles that people are using to make money on the internet.

I’ve heard stories of the days when people would graduate from high school, and if they didn’t go to college, they would get a good paying job. They would stay at their job for the next 30 or 40 years until retirement. Secure that, they at least had a good dependable income. They may never get rich, but they had a home, food and went on vacation once a year. They might even be able to help their children with their education expenses. Let’s not forget the guarantied pension that people would receive at retirement.

This kind of story will one day in history be considered an “Old Wives Tale”, if it’s not already.

We have to take control of our own lives. What ever position, financial or otherwise, that we find ourselves in, is because of the decisions we have made.

Yes, we can blame the government. But we allowed ourselves to be put in the position to get screwed. We have let our lives depend on someone else and for the most part, that would be the government.

We need to change our way of thinking. I’m not going to get deep into this, but the Wealth Creator Source can help make those changes. The Wealth Creator Source is a series of powerful interviews by Raymond Aaron with some of the most influential people of our time. People like Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield and Robert Kiyosaki to name but a few.

We need to create multiple streams of income. No longer can we rely on the “Old Wives Tales”.

The population in the United States in 2008 was 303,228,257 and the number of internet users was 222,723,436. In Canada the population was 33,999,500, the number of internet users was 23,999,500. All of Europe in total was 803,903,540 with 393,373,398 internet users.

I haven’t even given the stats for the United Kingdom, Germany and the rest of the world, which are staggering.

Businesses of all sizes are turning to the internet. They search the web understanding it’s a better way of purchasing goods and services. The internet allows companies to save time and cost savings by shopping around for the best deals. People in general are purchasing more products through the internet.

Internet marketing is recession proof. If you want to start a business part time, then this is the way to go. I’m not going to tell you you’re going to make a fortune in a couple of months, although it is possible.

You can get started in you’re spare time with a free blog from blogger.com and affiliate products. It won’t cost you a dime, just time.

There are plenty of internet marketers who give away free internet marketing information to help get you started. There are also free affiliate programs you can join like Armand Morin’s affiliate program with support and products second to none. You can also purchase programs to teach and guide you on your path to success.

It’s time we step up and take control of our own lives. Nobody else is going to do it for us.

Is Your Market Niche Doomed To Failure In A Tough Economy?

by Hans Kristian Anderson on May.07, 2010, under Hans Kristian Anderson

When the bottom line deteriorates due to a poor economy, it’s time to start figuring out whether your market niche has any useful marketing life left.

If you were one of the people who owned horse-and-buggy companies when the automobile first came out, your market niche was doomed, but you probably didn’t know it because the Great Depression was slowing everyone’s sales down. The fact is that depressions and recessions have a way of spurring innovation and business creativity as business owners seek to provide a solution to the market to create demand for their businesses. If that innovation impacts your market niche, you may be in trouble, but otherwise, many of the same market niches will continue to exist, but only the proactive business owners will be able to survive.

Internet marketing is one such business that will not only survive but thrive in the years to come.

Internet Marketing Information Overload

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Apr.23, 2010, under Hans Kristian Anderson

Whatever internet marketing system (product) you decide to focus your time, energy and money on, try not to get distracted.

If you’re new to internet marketing, you will find that you will be searching the web for information. You will sign up for free information on someone’s site or post a comment on a blog, leaving your name and email address behind.

I know, I’ve done it and I still do it.

Not only will you read about different internet marketing products and mentors from the web, you will start receiving information by way of email.

Most of the email that you will receive contains good valuable information. If you choose to stop the emails from coming, just click on the “unsubscribe” button. But that’s not really the problem.

The problem is after you have chosen the product or system you want to focus on, information overload can kick in.

I found myself spending too much time reading about different systems and products, when I should have been spending more time working on the system that I had already purchased.

That’s not to say that you shouldn’t purchase products that will benefit you and the system that you have decided to learn.

Don’t let yourself get distracted. You will make changes as you go, but stay with your initial course of action, after all most of these systems are not cheap.

Another thing I found myself doing was checking my affiliate statistics two or three times a day, hoping to see at least some impressions. If I happened to see a click (no money) I was all excited.

The truth is you will never get the second click or the one thousandth click before you get that first one. But constantly reading about new systems, checking your statistics two or three times a day on various affiliate websites is not going to make this happen any quicker. When in fact your just wasting valuable time. Time that should be spent writing articles, blogging or any other productive activity that will benefit the system you have already chosen.

One way to control this is to set aside a specific time period to read about new products and check your affiliate statistics. Personally I like doing this just before I go to bed after I have put productive time into my business.

Once you have made the decision to invest your time and money in a particular system, stay with it. You owe it to your self to give it an honest try before you decide to make any major system (product) changes.

Internet Marketing Online Is All About The Trust

by Hans Kristian Anderson on Mar.30, 2010, under Hans Kristian Anderson

If one of your goals in life is to be a successful at internet marketing online, then remember that it really is all about trust. A lot of people still tend to not trust people or products they find on the internet.

For many people It seems that the internet can be a bit of a double edged sword. On the one side you have people who are overly afraid of getting viruses, they will not order products or services through the internet, in fact the internet actually scares them. On the other side there are people who want to have questions answered, they want to learn and discover new information that will help them reach their goals as quickly as possible, they will order products and services, from someone they can trust.

Trust is the key and providing good, useful and helpful information on your website is the best way to get started. First of all It’s a good idea to start your business on a topic that you are familiar enough with, so that you can write about it easily. Make sure you portray a business image that is credible and professional, as people will be more likely to purchase your products and sign up on your lists for this reason.

By building relationships with visitors to your website you will begin to gain their trust. You can set-up a forum on your website that will allow you to converse with people. A forum will also allow you to discover more about your readers or customers desires and needs. With the concept of a forum in mind, why not join other forums and attract people to your website.

Don’t be to concerned with making money right off the bat ( if you do, that’s great). You should be concentrating your efforts on building a good quality website that people will come to trust. The money will follow when people start to know you and you show you are trustworthy.

You will also need to hold up your end of the relationship as well by supplying your clients with information, products and services that are useful and deserving of their money.

Once this bond of trust has been formed, you will have customers for life.
